Applying for a Grant
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30TH
Thank you for your interest in requesting funding for your organization.
The Catherine and Maxwell Meighen Foundation operates on a calendar year and all grant applications submitted for consideration are reviewed once a year. The Foundation does not accept telephone calls and requests that all communication be through email.
The Letters Patent of the Catherine and Maxwell Meighen Foundation prohibit any potential funding of charitable activities outside of Ontario. If your organization is national, please ensure that your application is tailored to a specific project or operation within Ontario.
Application Guidelines
Applicants are asked to download and submit the required application form to The Catherine and Maxwell Meighen Foundation, with the required attachments (latest audited financial statements and a listing of your Board of Directors), by the deadline date of September 30. Applications will be accepted for consideration between January 1 and September 30, of the current calendar year. Any applications received after the September 30 deadline will not be accepted.

For grant requests over $25,000, in addition to the above requirements, please submit a formal grant proposal (in PDF format) of not more than 10 pages. The formal grant proposal should include:
Needs analysis (how was it determined this activity is important)
Timeline (the period this activity will take place over)
Future funding (how will this activity continue to be funded, if needed)
Budget for the grant request
List of partners or letters of support, if applicable
When an application is submitted, the applicant will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt.
Enquiries on progress of the application are not accepted.
Final funding approval decisions are made in December.
All approved applicants will be notified by email, and the funds disbursed by December 31.
A letter of acknowledgement will be requested upon receipt of the donation by the successful applicant.
